Army ROTC to host visit of legendary Blackhawk helicopters

(March 29, 2002)--The U.S. Army ROTC detachment at UTSA will hold a unique event that will be open to the general public.

From 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, several of the Army's much-publicized Blackhawk helicopters will land at the UTSA 1604 Campus and be available for viewing. The landing site will be parking lot 11, near University Oaks Apartments on the southwest edge of campus.

Visitors will be allowed to look inside the helicopters. As time permits, active duty, reserve and National Guard members with a military ID may be qualified to ride in a chopper.

For more information, contact Second Lt. Jon Flores at (210) 458-5638.
