Roadrunners on the road tonight in semifinal game of SLC Tournament
(March 7, 2002)--The UTSA Roadrunner men's basketball team takes on Louisiana-Monroe at 7 p.m. tonight in Monroe, Louisiana in the second round of the Southland Conference Tournament.
The Roadrunners advanced to the semifinals with their 99-83 win at home against Southwest Texas State University Monday night. The No.3 seeded Roadrunners enter tonight's contest with a 19-9 season record, 13-7 in conference.
Senior's Devin Brown and McEverett Powers combined for 57 points in the opening round match-up and will need big games tonight as the Roadrunners take on the No. 2 seed, which is undefeated at home in its last 14 games.
The winner of tonight's game advances to the Southland Conference Championship game which will be played Saturday morning.
UTSA's Roadrunner women's basketball team's season ended last night in a 66-63
loss at home against Southeastern Louisiana in the opening round of the Southland
Conference Tournament. They end the season with a 16-12 record.
