Communication expert to discuss truths and lies March 29
(March 27, 2002)--The UTSA Department of Communication invites you to examine "Some Truths About Lies," a lecture by Mark L. Knapp, UT Austin, at noon Friday, March 29 in Business Building Room 3.04.06 on the 1604 Campus.
Knapp is a prominent researcher in the social sciences and communication, and an expert in interpersonal and nonverbal communication. He is the Jesse H. Jones Centennial Professor in Communication and a University of Texas Distinguished Teaching Professor.
He is a past editor of "Human Communication Research and Communication Yearbook" as well as a past president of International Communication Association (ICA) and National Communication Association (NCA). He has authored numerous monographs, books (including "The Handbook of Interpersonal Communication"), book chapters and refereed journal articles. He has also done consulting work for over 50 organizations worldwide including IBM, Peace Corps, and Pfizer Drug.
