Teaching and Learning Center offers Summer Teaching Institute
(May 2, 2002)--The Teaching and Learning Center is offering the Summer Teaching Institute "Course Development for Effective Teaching" May 13-16 at the UTSA 1604 Campus.
The event is open to all UTSA faculty and free of charge, but registration is mandatory. The registration deadline is May 10. Presentations will be conducted in the John Peace Library Building Regents Room (4.03.12), the University Center Retama Auditorium (2.02.02) and the Business Building Computer Lab, Room 3.03.04.
Each day of the conference a complimentary lunch will be provided from noon-1 p.m. for participants. Application-Discussion-Working Sessions will be 2:30-4 p.m. each day and are required for Learning Communities faculty and optional for others.

The TLC was created to support UTSA faculty development, provide course support services, sustain quality instruction and help faculty build an inviting and stimulating intellectual community for their students. By creating that environment, faculty can make a critical contribution to the university's efforts to attract, retain, educate and graduate students in South Texas.
