UTSA Alumni Association charters Washington, D.C. chapter
(Nov. 20, 2002)--Washington's Monarch Hotel was the site of a reception Sunday evening celebrating the chartering of an Alumni Association chapter to serve the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
UTSA President Ricardo Romo (pictured at left) and Alumni Executive Director Jane Findling (right) presented the chapter's charter to Jeannine Dollard (B.B.A., 87), (center, in burgundy) who represented the chapter's 20 charter members. The charter members joined them in the photo above. Each charter member received a copy of the charter, as well as a commemorative T-shirt. More than 35 guests, including UT System Vice Chancellor Bill Shute, attended the reception.
The chapter's mission is to promote internships in the Washington area for UTSA students. Charter members Lorenzo Garza and Sam Berrios have developed a comprehensive Web site which will be linked to the UTSA Alumni Association Web site. Visit the Alumni Association site for more photos of the charter event.
