Walkers of all ages filled the Convocation Center last year to raise money for women's athletics scholarships.

Annual UTSA women's athletics walk set to go Nov. 9

(Nov. 8, 2002)--The State Farm Insurance/ UTSA Walk for Women's Athletics begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 in the Physical Education Building downstairs gyms and at the track. The annual event raises money for UTSA women's athletics scholarships.

The event will include a health fair, door prizes, silent auction, hamburger cookout and awards for teams and individuals who raise the most money for scholarships for female student athletes. Individual first prize is two round-trip tickets to anywhere in the 48 contiguous states.
