'Magic Market' begins series of fund-raisers for women's athletics
(Oct. 18, 2002)--UTSA President Ricardo Romo (right) was accompanied by several other early shoppers at the Holiday Magic Market held Monday in the John Peace Library Building Regents' Room. With the annual State Farm Insurance/ UTSA Walk for Women's Athletics just under a month away, the market is one of the fund-raising activities supporting the effort.
The market featured food, hand-made gift items and artworks for sale and for bid in a silent auction. Auction items included a lunch for 10 prepared by Expo Gourmand's Silver Medal Chef Miguel Pena.
