Hispanic marketing pioneer to speak Oct. 30 at UTSA

(Oct. 29, 2002)--Ernest Bromley, chairman and chief executive officer of Bromley Communications, will present the keynote address during the Frost Bank Distinguished Lecture Series at 11 a.m. Oct. 30 in the Business Building Auditorium (Room 2.01.02). A pioneer in his field, Bromley was part of the original team that founded the agency in 1981. He has built the agency to be the leading Hispanic marketing communications company, empowering clients such as Procter & Gamble, Burger King, The American Legacy Foundation and Western Union in the changing American marketplace.

Bromley Communications is a full-service strategic marketing communications company with 130 employees and yearly billings in excess of $160 million. Bromley Communications was twice named Southwest "Agency of the Year" by Adweek magazine.

Prior to joining the agency, Bromley taught economics in the College of Business at UTSA. He has a bachelor of arts in political science and a master’s in business administration from UTSA. An active community and civic leader, Bromley currently serves as incoming chair for the KLRN Alamo Public Telecommunications Council board of directors and is on the boards of the College of Business Advisory Council, the Free Trade Alliance, AVANCE and the Southwest School of Art and Craft.

The Frost Bank Distinguished Lecture Series brings prominent business and community leaders to UTSA to share their knowledge and experiences with students and others in the university and business community. The lecture series, which began in 1988, presents an opportunity to broaden our understanding of the business world and the individuals who lead it.
UTSA's College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. It is one of the 40 largest business schools in the nation with more than 5,100 enrolled students and 37 different graduate and undergraduate business programs.
