Former Texas governor delivers keynote for Frost lecture series

(April 9, 2003)--Former Texas Governor Dolph Briscoe spoke April 8 at the UTSA College of Business for the Frost Bank Distinguished Lecture Series.

The Uvalde native has enjoyed a distinguished career as a politician, rancher and community leader.

From 1973-1979, Briscoe served as the governor of Texas and under his leadership kept his campaign promise of no new or additional state taxes during his term.

The Frost Bank Distinguished Lecture Series brings prominent business and community leaders to UTSA to share their knowledge and experiences with students and others in the university and business communities.
