Alamo City Actors Guild presents abridged-Shakespeare comedy
(April 3, 2003)--The Alamo City Actors Guild (ACAG) presents "The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged)" at 7 p.m. April 8-10 and 4 p.m. April 11 in the University Center Retama Auditorium (Room 2.02.02) on the UTSA 1604 Campus.
The comedy is billed as an irreverent, roller-coaster romp through all of Shakespeare's 37 plays in just two hours. The longest running comedy in London, the Los Angeles Times describes the play as "wildly funny" and the Montreal Gazette calls it "the funniest show you are likely to see in your entire lifetime."
ACAG is the oldest UTSA student theater group and presents productions each year. Founded in the 1980s as the Bargain Basement Players, the group has presented such plays as "Death of a Salesman," "Arsenic and Old Lace," "The Seagull," "Picnic" and "The Clumsy Custard Horror Show."
Tickets are $5, $4 for students with ID, and are available at the University Center information center.
