Health Services offers 'Mind, Body and Spirit' health fair

(April 15, 2003)--University of Texas at San Antonio Health Services will host the UTSA Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, in the University Center and Humanities and Social Sciences Building on the 1604 Campus.

Fair booths with the theme "Mind, Body and Spirit" will offer information from more than one hundred community and UTSA organizations. The event is free and open to the entire UTSA community.

Participants can register for drawings for prizes and pick up educational materials, services information and giveaway items.

Some of the participating organizations are Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation, Alcoholics Anonymous, Any Baby Can, American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, American Red Cross, B.E.A.T. AIDS, Bexar County Sheriff's Department, City Public Service, H.E.B. Central Market, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, San Antonio Eye Center, San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, San Antonio Fire Department, San Antonio Health Department, San Antonio Metropolitan Health District, San Antonio Police Department, United Way Help Line, University Health System and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Departments of Podiatry and Occupational Therapy.
