Teaching and Learning Center offers Summer Teaching Institute

(April 28, 2003)--UTSA faculty and instructional staff are encouraged to register now for the Teaching and Learning Center's Summer Teaching Institute which will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 12-15.

Presentations will focus on issues pertinent to teaching at UTSA. Morning sessions will include presentations on the Learning Communities program, a profile of UTSA students, classroom civility and writing in the classroom.

Afternoon working sessions are designated for Learning Communities faculty. Sessions include a complimentary lunch at noon.

The mission of the Teaching and Learning Center is to assist UTSA faculty in achieving their teaching goals. The center is funded by the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
