Academic 3 Building construction

Academic Building III construction continues at UTSA 1604 Campus

(July 9, 2003)--With a scheduled completion date of April 2004, construction workers continue work on the 240,000-square-foot Academic Building III. The building will provide classrooms, lecture halls, specialized teaching labs and academic support offices.

The $52 million project includes improvements at the UTSA 1604 Campus to the John Peace Library Building, the Multidisciplinary Studies Building and the Humanities and Social Sciences Building.

A report from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board suggests UTSA has one of the greatest shortfalls in academic space in Texas.
