UTSA Satellite Space exhibit inspired by San Antonio artists
(July 15, 2003)--The University of Texas at San Antonio presents the exhibition, "Encounters," featuring works by members of the UTSA Graduate Art Student (GAS) organization July 18-Aug. 3 at the UTSA Satellite Space.
Hours are noon-6 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday, or by appointment.
An opening reception, free and open to the public, will be 6-9 p.m., Friday, July 18, at the Satellite Space.
Works featured in "Encounters" were inspired by the style, materials, processes and subject matter of pieces by other San Antonio artists.

Curators for the exhibit are UTSA art history graduate students Patricia Ruiz Healy and Lisa Garcia.
The UTSA Satellite Space is at 115 Blue Star in the Blue Star Arts Complex at South Alamo and Probandt streets, just south of downtown San Antonio and adjacent to the King William district.
The UTSA Satellite Space is supported by the UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts, the UTSA Department of Art and Art History, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas R. Semmes Jr., and Bruce and Janet Lennie Flohr.
