Zorica Pantic-Tanner talks to educators about technology
Engineering Dean Zorica Pantic-Tanner discusses techology with Serbian
educators and students.

UTSA engineering dean recruits overseas

(July 25, 2003)--Zorica Pantic-Tanner, dean of the UTSA College of Engineering, recently visited her alma mater, the University of Nis in Serbia, to establish a close relationship with and recruit students for UTSA's new Ph.D. programs in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, and environmental science and engineering.

In addition to meeting with the deans at the University of Nis, she made a presentation titled "Technology Transfer through Cooperation with the City and Federal Agencies," which was attended by more than 100 professors and students.

The University of Nis was established in 1965 and has more than 15,000 students and 12 schools including medicine, law, business, electronic engineering, civil engineering and mechanical engineering.
