UTSA hosts meeting of small business development board
(July 31, 2003)--The University of Texas at San Antonio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) recently hosted the National Small Business Development Center Advisory Board for a meeting and site visit.
The board, which met July 20-22 at the UTSA Downtown Campus, is charted to advise, recommend and confer with the associate administrator of the Office of Small Business Development Centers on SBDC issues and policies.
The small-business development program has more than 1,500 centers at universities across the country and provides services annually to more than 800,000 small businesses.
The board consists of nine members from across the U.S. and is chaired by Jude Valdez, UTSA vice president for extended services.
