
UTSA business affairs employees honored for jobs well done
(June 3, 2003)--The UTSA Office of Business Affairs Rewards and Recognition Program honored fourteen employees April 29 at its awards ceremony for the 2002-2003 second quarter. Employees were recognized for outstanding performance, reaching the highest standards of excellence and for inspiring others.

Awardees not pictured are Cruz Cabello and Roberto Rodriguez.
Individual awards went to Brandt, Izbinski and Vilanova. Brandt, facilities services paint shop, was recognized for devoting extra hours to a special cleaning project.
Izbinski, facilities services custodial services, was recognized for exemplifying outstanding conduct in the performance of duties over a period of years. Her fellow employees who nominated her say that she is a supportive supervisor who is always willing to lend a helping hand.
Vilanova, university police department, updated the department's new computerized Ticket Trak parking citation and parking permit issuance program. He provides excellent customer service to the university community and ensures that UTSA's facilities, parking meters and pay stations receive top-quality maintenance.
A team award went to facilities services grounds maintenance staff members Almanza, Arizola, Saenz, Martinez, Castillo, Chapa, Villarreal, Wiedner, Flores, Cabello and Rodriguez. The team was recognized for going beyond the call of duty, working until 2 a.m. preparing the Institute of Texan Cultures grounds for the announcement of the new Toyota San Antonio plant.
