

UTSA is ready for Texas Folklife Festival 2003!
(June 4, 2003)--Celebrating its 32nd year, the Texas Folklife Festival opens Thursday at the Institute of Texan Cultures in downtown San Antonio.

The event runs June 5-8 with participation from more than 45 groups representing cultures from 57 countries.
The festival is presented by the Institute of Texan Cultures, one of the three campuses of The University of Texas at San Antonio.
With the theme of "Bring Your Own Culture," guests are encouraged to enjoy the foods, dances and stories of the groups that make up the exciting historical and current cultures of Texas.
Advance tickets are available at all San Antonio H-E-B grocery stores; Tickets and Tours offices at Ft. Sam Houston, Lackland and Randolph Air Force Bases; UTSA Fiscal Services Office (1604 and Downtown campuses); UT Health Science Center at San Antonio bookstore; and the Institute of Texan Cultures Store.
Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the gate for adults age 13 and older; $3 in advance and at the gate for children 6-12 years; and free for children 5 years and younger.
