UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures tells historical stories in creative ways

(June 17, 2003)-- UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures in downtown San Antonio is committed to using advanced technology to enhance learning in schools, while telling the story of Texas to visitors in creative, entertaining and educational ways.

Pictured is the ITC information booth adjacent to the dramatic neon Texas Lone Star flag.

One of three University of Texas at San Antonio campuses, the ITC is an educational center focusing on Texas history and cultures. The ITC maintains more than 50,000 square feet of exhibits and has approximately 200,000 visitors annually.

ITC hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and noon-5 p.m., Sunday.
