UTSA to offer graduate project management degree
(June 23, 2003)--The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business received approval from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to offer a project management concentration in the master's in business administration program.
Course offerings include Essentials of Project and Program Management and Advanced Topics in Project Management.
Students selecting this concentration will develop special expertise in the field of project management and improve their understanding of the business environment in which contemporary projects are managed. Project managers are sought-after as businesses and corporations strive to complete projects on time and within budget.
"Many organizations have increased their reliance upon project management to manage change, introduce new products and improve service delivery," said Kevin Grant, assistant professor of management. "This program will prepare our graduates to play key roles in enabling these organizations to succeed in the dynamic and highly competitive business environment that currently prevails."
The UTSA College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. It is one of the 40 largest business schools in the nation with more than 5,100 enrolled students and 37 different graduate and undergraduate business programs.
