UTSA Professor Emeritus Samuel Cochran passes away

(June 9, 2003)--UTSA Professor Emeritus Samuel Warren Cochran, a respected psychology teacher, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 6.

Pictured is a portrait of Cochran donated several months ago by the Cochran family to the UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts.

Cochran taught in the UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts, the Air Force Academy and East Texas State University.

He enjoyed running and bicycling throughout his life and was involved in Senior Olympics events and cross-country bicycling.

He earned a B.A. degree from Mississippi College, an M.A. degree from Peabody College and a Ph.D. degree from Ohio State University.
