Weekend fire halts network and Internet access in Science Building

(June 4, 2003)--An electrical closet fire on the third floor of the Science Building interrupted network and Internet access in 22 rooms last weekend at the UTSA 1604 Campus.

Electrical repairs are expected to take two weeks. It is estimated it will take an additional week to re-establish network functionality in the rooms.

The Office of Information Technology apologizes for the inconvenience.
