National Police Week: UTSA salutes law enforcement staff
(May 15, 2003)--In observance of National Police Week, UTSA salutes law enforcement personnel at the UTSA campuses.
Thanks for your hard work in keeping our campuses safe and secure!
Pictured are Mark McGregor, security guard, and Manuel Gallegos, police officer, at the UTSA Downtown Campus.
The observance began May 15, 1962, as National Peace Officers' Memorial Day and later became National Police Week.
Activities are hosted each year in Washington, D.C., to honor law enforcement officers who lost their lives while on duty and to offer support to their survivors.
