Instituto de Mexico presents series on Mexican women in arts
(May 2, 2003)--The Instituto de Mexico will present two lectures in May in its "Women in Art and Literature in Mexico" series.
Mexican novelist Elena Poniatowska will speak on Women That Write" at 7 p.m. May 9 at the Instituto de Mexico, 600 HemisFair Park, downtown San Antonio.
Jannette Clarion will speak on "Woman and Poetry: A Translation" and read from her book of poems, "Desierta Memoria," at 7 p.m. May 23, also at the institute.
Both lectures will be conducted in Spanish with simultaneous translation into English. Free parking is available at the Alamo and Durango lot.
