Bloglines: How to add RSS feeds

Step 1: Open browser of choice and go to http://www.bloglines.com. Note: "Click here to register" in diagram.

 

 

Step 2: Fill in necessary registration information and select "Register" button at bottom left of page.

 

 

Step 3: You have not completed registration. You will receive an e-mail, as indicated below.

 

 

Step 4: Copy the URL (ex. http://www.bloglines.com) sent to you before continuing. Paste the Web address in the URL box on the browser to continue. This is the last step necessary for registration.

 

 

Step 5: This is the introduction page you will see when entering Bloglines. There is a list from which you can automatically add feeds. Once you've made your selections, click on the "Subscribe to My Selections" button at bottom right.

 

 

Step 6: At the introduction page, in the left frame you have a listing of the items you subscribed to. To see an item you are subscribing to, click on one of the links. The page will open in the frame at right.

 

Step 7: To add a UTSA Today feed to the list of RSS feeds. Open a new browser window. Do not close the window with Bloglines. Go to the UTSA RSS Feed site and click on the icon to the right of a feed.

 

Step 8: This opens the RSS XML file. Copy the URL of the XML file.

 

Step 9: Paste the URL in the "Blog or Feed URL" box, then click "Subscribe."

 

Step 10: Click "Subscribe" again.

 

Step 11: You can now view the RSS feeds from UTSA Today.

 

Step 12: To open and view story click on link.
