Susan Colorado-Burt was raised in San Antonio and attended the University of Wisconsin- Madison. She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and her Master's degree in Counseling. In 2004, she joined the Learning Communities Office and has taught several Freshmen Seminar classes on topics related to race, culture and gender issues. Currently, Susan is in the Educational Leadership doctoral program at UTSA with an emphasis in higher education. In her spare time, she enjoys mentoring young Latinas and has implemented several programs for Latina youth emphasizing the importance of education and culture. Susan also likes spending time with her husband, friends, family and her little 13 year old Yorkie, Scooter.
