WHO CAN JOIN UPWARD BOUND?

Students meeting the following federal TRIO eligibility criteria may be considered for selection as Upward Bound participants:

• 9^th and 10^th graders demonstrating an interest in attending college;

• Demonstrate academic need (low grades, low test scores, and/or have not completed Pre- Algebra, Algebra 1 and Geometry math courses);

• 2/3^rd must qualify as both Low Income (eligible for Free/Reduced Lunch) and Potential First Generation College Student (neither parent has a 4-year degree);

• Commit to remain active in UB year round and annually thru high school graduation.

    After reviewing all submitted application packets, UB staff will contact eligible students and their parents to participate in a Student & Parent Interview.  Please contact the UB Program at the number listed below for more information and/or to refer a student to receive an application packet.
