WHO CAN JOIN UPWARD BOUND?

Students meeting the following federal TRIO eligibility criteria may be considered for selection as Upward Bound participants:

- 9^th and 10^th graders demonstrating an interest in attending college;

- Demonstrate academic need (low grades, low test scores, and/or have not

completed Pre- Algebra, Algebra 1 and Geometry math courses);

- 2/3must qualify as both Low Income (eligible for Free/Reduced Lunch) and

Potential First Generation College Student (neither parent has a 4-year degree);

- Commit to remain active in UB year-round and annually through high school graduation.

After reviewing all submitted application packets, UB staff will contact eligible

students and their parents to participate in a Student & Parent Interview. Please contact

the UB Program at the number listed below for more information and/or to refer a student to receive an application packet.
