Tutor Services

Tutors in the Center are professors of writing, graduate English students, and English major upperclassmen.

The tutors are free to assist you with writing, not to edit your papers. Of course, they are more than happy to explain grammar and mechanical problems that you are having, but do not expect them to "correct" your papers. Each tutor session should be a learning experience.

If you have a paper that is 12 pages or more, we ask that you make an appointment with a tutor.

In conjunction with the Tomás Rivera Center's Graduate Student Learning Assistance Program, The Writing Center is pleased to announce the addition of our new graduate student specialists, Nick and Amber. They are open to help any student in The Writing Center, but their primary function is to address the special needs of the expanding graduate student population here at UTSA. You can find their available hours in our tutor schedule.
