Minor in English Literature

All students pursuing the Minor in English Literature must complete 21 semester credit hours of English and American literature.

  1. 15 semester credit hours of required courses:

    1. ENG 2213 Literary Criticism and Analysis

    2. 9 semester credit hours selected from the following:

      ENG 2223 British Literature I
      ENG 2233 British Literature II
      ENG 2263 American Literature I
      ENG 2293 American Literature II

    3. 3 semester credit hours selected from the following:

      ENG 3223 Shakespeare: The Early Plays
      ENG 3233 Shakespeare: The Later Plays

  2. 6 additional upper-division semester credit hours of literature in English, 3 semester credit hours of which must include the study of American literature
