Minor
in Psychology
All students pursing a Minor in Psychology must complete 18 semester
credit hours.
A. 6 semester credit hours of required courses:
PSY 1013 Introduction to Psychology (This
course may be used to satisfy the Core Curriculum requirement in Domain
IIC.)
PSY 3403 Experimental Psychology (concurrent
enrollment in PSY 3413 waived; prerequisite
of STA 2073 or
equivalent required)
B. 3 additional semester credit hours selected from the following:
PSY 2503 Developmental Psychology
PSY 2513 Abnormal Psychology
PSY 2523 Personality
PSY 2533 Social Psychology
C. 3 additional semester credit hours selected from the following:
PSY 2543 Theories of Learning
PSY 2573 Psychology of Thought
D. 6 additional upper-division semester credit hours of psychology courses,
no more than 3 of which may be in Independent Study or Internship
To declare a Minor in Psychology, obtain advice, or seek approval of
substitutions for course requirements, students should consult the undergraduate
