The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Bicultural/Mexican American Studies offers two areas of concentration: Bicultural-Bilingual and Mexican American Studies. The minimum number of semester credit hours required for this degree is 128, including Core Curriculum requirement hours. Thirty-nine of the 128 total semester credit hours required for the degree must be at the upper-division level.
Core Curriculum requirements: Students seeking the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree in Bicultural/Mexican American Studies with a Bicultural-Bilingual Concentration must fulfill University Core Curriculum requirements in the same manner as other students. The courses listed in the table below satisfy both degree requirements and Core Curriculum requirements; however, if these courses are taken to satisfy both requirements, then students will need to take additional courses in order to meet the minimum number of semester credit hours required for this degree.
