Scholarships for UTE courses and Cohort courses
The Pat and Tom Frost Foundation Management Agency, the Frost Bank Charitable Foundation, and the AT&T Foundation have established scholarships for UTeach students. The scholarship money is used to support UTE courses and designated sections of certification courses required for teacher certification.
UTE Courses. For the three courses UTE 1011, UTE 1021, and UTE 1031 scholarships are available to cover the cost of the tuition and fees for each course.
Scholarship criteria for UTE courses:
- Full-time student, minimum of 12 credit hours (UTE course would be 13th hour)
- Eligible to begin mathematics sequence at College Algebra course, or above
Certification courses. Each year, starting with 2007-08, specific sections of certification courses will be identified as cohort courses for UTeach. Offerings will be announced to UTeach students via WebCT, announcements in class, and web postings.
Scholarship criteria for certification courses:
- Full-time student, minimum of 12 credit hours
- Successfully completed UTeach courses (or currently enrolled)
- Declared major within the College of Sciences
- Minimum, cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on 4.0 scale.
