Welcome to the Office of University Relations at The University of Texas at San Antonio, an innovative urban serving university that has gained national attention for disrupting higher education to benefit its home community of San Antonio.

UTSA is rapidly moving toward premier research university status while remaining committed to its original mission of providing affordable, accessible higher education to the people of Texas and beyond. There is great momentum around its 10-year strategic plan, which calls for the university to grow to 45,000 students by 2028. The university also has exciting plans underway to earn National Research University Fund eligibility by growing its research programs while, at the same time, expanding its Downtown campus into the city to create a new high-tech corridor and to provide its Westside neighbors and their children with access to an affordable, world-class education within walking distance of their homes.

Under the leadership of President Taylor Eighmy and guided by its 10-year strategic plan, UTSA is becoming a model for student success, a great research university, and an exemplar for strategic growth and innovative excellence. University Relations is the home of Community Relations, Government Relations, University Strategic Communications, University Marketing and Special Projects. Its mission is to build alliances with federal, state, city and county elected officials, global news media, supporters of the university and the general public.
