Tina Zawacki

Dr. Zawacki is an assistant professor in the department of Psychology. She received a PhD in Social Psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in addictive behaviors at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. Her research interests include: Alcohol's role in sexual aggression and health risk-taking behaviors including unsafe sex and drunk driving, interpersonal violence, especially sexual violence against women, and gender differences in sexual perceptions and interactions. Her research has been funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Alcoholic Beverage Medical Research Foundation (ABMRF), and the San Antonio Life Sciences Institute (SALSI).  Her teaching interests are in Health Psychology, Social Psychology, Research Methods, and Psychology of Gender.
