Dr. Lyons is a professor in the department of English, Classics, and Philosophy. She received her PhD from Tulane University in 1973. She often writes about women writers and women as characters and has offered entire courses about women writers including Women in Literature. Her most recent interview is with Edwidge Danticat. Dr. Lyons's second book of poems consists of 40 monologues spoken by different women in the Hebrew scriptures. |
