Patricia D Quijada

Patricia D. Quijada is Assistant Professor in Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Adult and Higher Education at the University of Texas at San Antonio and the Associate Director for the Women's Studies Institute. She earned a Ph.D. in educational psychology with a designated emphasis in human development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; two master's degrees in counseling and human development from Harvard University; a multiple subject teaching credential from the University of San Diego; a bachelor of science degree in sociology and a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of California at Riverside. Dr. Quijada's research interests include Indigenous adult-youth relationships and identity formations in home, community and school contexts; native epistemologies; and multicultural education in community and school contexts.
