Computational Neurosciences

Computations in the brain emerge from interactions of a dizzying array of neural mechanisms, spanning scales from molecules to behavior. Much of this complexity is internally generated by the cells and circuits that constitute brain networks. Our researchers combine abstract and biophysical modeling with theories and experiments, to uncover the underlying functional principles that allow us to understand the brain as a computer.
