Neural Circuits and Behavior
One of the greatest scientific challenges is to decipher the neuronal mechanisms that regulate behavior in health and disease. UTSA researchers use a wide range of tools, from human derived pluripotent organoids, to state-of-the-art imaging and manipulation of cellular function, to the study of human cognition. Together, they cover all scales of biological organization of the nervous system and provide unique experiences in understanding the brain from genes to behavior.
