Frequently Asked Questions

The UT San Antonio LSAT Preparation Workshop is a live, instructor-led course designed to help prospective law students prepare for the Law School Admission Test. Participants learn test-taking strategies, analyze common errors, practice with LSAT-style questions and receive feedback from an experienced instructor. The workshop emphasizes the reasoning and reading skills measured by the current LSAT.

The workshop prepares students for the current LSAT by focusing on Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. Participants practice analyzing and evaluating arguments, identifying assumptions, drawing conclusions and interpreting complex reading passages. The LSAT no longer includes a separate Analytical Reasoning or logic-games section, so instruction and practice should reflect the exam format in effect when the student plans to test.

The UT San Antonio LSAT Preparation Workshop currently costs $559. Tuition includes live instruction, test-taking strategy, error analysis, instructor feedback and two full-length LSAT practice tests. Required LSAC materials and subscriptions are purchased separately and are not included in the workshop tuition. Review the current registration listing to confirm pricing and available course dates before enrolling.

The LSAT Preparation Workshop is completed over approximately six weeks and includes 32 hours of live training. The workshop generally includes 12 two-hour instructional sessions and two full-length, four-hour practice-test sessions. Classes are typically scheduled during evenings, with practice exams held separately. Exact dates, days and times vary by cohort and are listed in the current registration schedule.

UT San Antonio may offer LSAT Preparation Workshops in live virtual or in-person classroom formats, depending on the cohort. Both formats provide scheduled, real-time instruction rather than a fully self-paced course. Online students need a reliable internet connection, a computer with a camera and audio capabilities, and access to LSAC LawHub. In-person students should bring an internet-connected laptop or tablet to class.

Yes. The workshop includes two full-length LSAT practice tests that allow students to practice under timed conditions and measure their progress. Students also review questions and analyze errors to identify areas that need additional study. Practice-test performance is intended to guide preparation and does not guarantee a particular LSAT score or admission to law school.

Students must create an LSAC account and obtain the LawHub access specified in the workshop materials. These resources provide official LSAT questions, practice tests and access to the digital testing interface. Required materials are not included in the $559 workshop tuition and must be purchased separately. Students should use the materials link on the program page to verify the current subscription and resource requirements before class begins.

The workshop is led by Adam Johnson, UT San Antonio’s lead test-preparation instructor. He has more than 20 years of standardized test-preparation teaching experience and has scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT. During the workshop, students receive feedback through question review, error analysis, class discussion and guidance on how to improve their approach to Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension questions.
