UTSA IS COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY DURING REMOTE LEARNING AND OPERATIONS. HERE IS YOUR DIGEST OF UNIVERSITY NEWS AND TIPS.
LEARN FROM EXPERTS: If you missed UTSA’s popular Community Conversations event this week, Reimagining the Future of the Arts in San Antonio and Beyond, you can view the recorded stream as well as recordings of all the other events. Our expert panel explored the ways in which arts organizations and educators can present, perform and teach music and visual arts in a time when we are unable to gather together.
LIBRARY RETURNS EXTENDED: If you still need to return books and other materials, the UTSA Libraries have extended the special returns process at the second-floor entrance to the John Peace Library for this weekend, May 30–31.
THE ANSWERS YOU NEED: The Student Activities Front Desk is available virtually to answer questions for everyone—including faculty and staff—weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
STUDENTS WITH TALENT: Greeks Got Talent is a virtual take on the traditional lip sync event and lets UTSA sorority and fraternity chapters submit TikTok-style videos to go head-to-head with other chapters. Anyone can cast a vote for their favorites in Instagram stories on the UTSA Fraternity and Sorority Life page. Voting starts Thursday, June 4, 11 a.m.
LET’S GET PHYSICAL: Campus Recreation’s live virtual group exercise classes are back all summer long with your favorite instructors delivering workouts directly to you via Zoom. And there’s no equipment needed to get you the workout you need. For a full list of classes—20 each week—visit Stay Well with Campus Rec or follow the @UTSARec team on social.
