Dear Alumni and Friends:
As UTSA continues to closely monitor the coronavirus outbreak that is deeply impacting our community and the world-at-large, please know that our thoughts are with you.
While our university adjusts to new ways of operating during this uncertain time, student success and the well-being of our community remain top priorities for President Eighmy and UTSA leadership. I am so proud to see the many ways our Roadrunner Nation is rising to meet the challenges of this global pandemic.
As our students experience changes to UTSA's operations, we encourage you to consider ways to support our students as they transition to off-campus housing, seek tools and resources for online instruction, or face personal challenges such as job uncertainty.
Our team has set up a COVID-19 Relief website with opportunities to support our students’ most prevalent needs during this difficult time. If you are able to give, your support will make this time easier for our students and show that Roadrunners support each other. Although our Development and Alumni Relations staff are working from home, please know that we remain available to you for any questions.
We are committed to serving you to the best of our abilities. Please know that our team is continuing to process gifts normally for any online or phoned-in gifts. All gifts sent via a postal service, such as checks, however, will be delayed until our campus returns to normal operations. We apologize that you may experience a delay in receiving gift acknowledgements and receipts for these types of gifts.
At this challenging time, my heart is with you and my entire team sincerely thanks you for everything you do in support of our Roadrunner Nation. It is during these times of uncertainty that your confidence and moral support motivate us as we prepare for better days ahead.
With gratitude, Karl Miller-Lugo P.S. If you have any questions regarding UTSA campus operations and how our students, faculty, and staff are being affected, I encourage you to reference our Coronavirus Updates website.
