Marketing Coordinator

About the Job Duties

Marketing + Higher Education = ♥

The UTSA Enrollment Marketing, Communications and Systems team is seeking to hire a talented and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to join a highly collaborative and dynamic marketing team. In this role, you’ll work closely with several departments across campus to help execute marketing initiatives that focus on recruiting and yielding new students to UTSA.

  • You understand marketing!
    Marketing in higher education is about making a connection with propsective students to see and feel the value and benefits UTSA can offer them. At UTSA, contribute to and assist in various marketing activities that help to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of key areas of recruitment, admission, financial aid and enrollment services.
  • You love crafting content.
    Create and write copy targeted to high school students that communicates clearly and efficiently the value of why students who choose and attend UTSA. This also includes proofing and editing communications.
  • Email, Text & Social - You know them all!
    Create, execute and maintain various email sends, automated email campaigns and various text sends. Majority of emails and texts will focus on marketing/recruiting new students. Additionally, assist in the creation and maintenance of the social media content calendar for the @utsafuturerr social channels.
  • You can script engaging videos.
    Assist in the creation of video scripts, in collaboration with the team’s videographer, to produce marketing quality videos used to recruit new students to UTSA.
  • You know optimizing websites is important.
    Assist in the creation and maintenance of website content for future.utsa.edu, the recruitment-focused marketing website for prospective undergraduate students; as well as, landing pages for targeted digital campaigns. This also includes optimizing the website for SEO optimization that helps organically boost Future Roadrunner higher on search engines.
  • You can put together presentation decks.
    Assist in the creation and maintenance of PowerPoint slides to showcase the value of attending UTSA, spotlights student stories, and present admission and financial aid information to new students by the recruitment team.
  • You know how to measure success.
    Assist in creating and reviewing analytical-type reports (email open rates/click rates, google web analytics, etc.) from marketing activities to assess effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Additionally adhere to CAN-SPAM regulations regarding marketing email sends.

The Must Haves

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in marketing or communications
  • Expertise in writing/creating Marketing Content
  • Expertise building email campaigns with familiarity in HTML
  • Expertise in updating/maintaining web content within a CMS
