Description
Understand how to purchase goods and services and enter all required information. Learn the procurement processing and workflow, new business terminology, how to manage multiple shopping carts, how to receive in Rowdy Exchange, where to get support and much more.
Note: This course is for new employees to the university hired after December 6, 2013. Employees who have taken DE 678 should not be required to retake this course.

After completing this class, you will be able to:
  • Demonstrate the uses of the UTSA Supplier Mall and Purchasing website
  • Demonstrate various procurement methods
  • Differentiate and discuss small- vs. high-dollar procurement
  • Discuss and evaluate Purchasing rules
  • Examine compliance in relation to Purchasing breakdown
Audience
Any employee who is involved in the procurement process or who will generate requisitions in PeopleSoft.
