HHM Speaker: Kat Lazo

Kat Lazo, famous for her series “The Kat Call” on the Latino digital platform Mitú, will speak at a virtual event on Thursday, October 8 at 6:30 p.m. The event is part of UTSA’s Hispanic Heritage Month series of event and is open only to UTSA students, faculty, and staff.

Kat has been featured on MTVs Decoded series, Thrillist’s Barrio USA, Bustle, Buzzfeed, and more. She is a Director, Producer, and Host. She is a new Yorker, half Colombian and half Peruvian, a no nonsense Latina who tells it how it is. Much of her work is dedicated to debunking Latino taboos and misconceptions about the Latino community.
