LGBTQIA+ and Pride Month

Capture-38.JPGJune is National Pride Month. Starting with the Stonewall Uprising in June 1969, Pride Month both commemorates and celebrates LGBTQIA+ activism and culture through the years. Pride Month is an entire month dedicated to uplifting LGBTQIA+ voices, celebrating LGBTQIA+ culture, and supporting LGBTQIA+ rights. Throughout June, we celebrate the promotion of self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people as a social group.

UTSA’s culture is one that champions diversity, and through a vision of inclusive excellence, we celebrate our LGBTQIA+ faculty, staff, students, and the Roadrunner community. Join Prism Student Organization and Queerspiracy Student Organization in collaboration with the UTSA Multicultural Student Center for Equity and Justice, the Pride Faculty and Staff Association, and the Office of Inclusive Excellence as we celebrate National Pride Month.
