The Cognitive Aging Lab conducts behavioral research in cognitive aging. Our mission is to investigate mental aging and to develop ways to improve mental functioning in adulthood.
Our research focuses on different aspects of memory
and learning. Much of our research focuses on how we remember to
perform an action in the future. For instance, how do we remember to give
someone a message? This is called prospective memory. In addition to prospective
memory, we also investigate how people learn new information and how we might
avoid memory errors, especially errors referred to as false memories.
