OIT Supervisors Receive Awards at Supervisory Series Training

David Miller, OIT support services manager, and Lorelei Fogel Hammargren, administrative services officer I, received achievement awards for completing the Supervisory Series (SU 500 - 505) training offered by UTSA Human Resources on March 22 in the North Paseo Building Lab (1.408) on the main campus.

The supervisory series is sectioned into six sessions that focuses on several aspects of leadership skills and qualities leaders possess. Attendees learn techniques to motivate and communicate with their staff. Strategic planning and situational awareness in leadership is also covered during each three and a half hour section.

Vanessa Kenon, assistant vice provost for IT, and Ben Garcia, director of customer service and operations support, both supervisors, attended the even to support their staff.
