Ron Nirenberg

Ron Nirenberg has the distinction of being the longest-serving mayor of San Antonio, one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities with the 7th largest population in the United States, during the modern era. He termed out in 2025, having been elected to four consecutive terms from 2017 to 2025.

During his 12 years of elected office in the City, he initiated and led the successful passage of ballot propositions for five sales tax investments, six capital improvement bonds, and seven city charter changes. He was the first Asian-American Mayor of San Antonio and also served two terms on the City Council.
