Employee Success Center opens on UT San Antonio academic campus

June 29, 2026
The University of Texas at San Antonio recently celebrated the grand opening of its Employee Success Center on the academic campus, marking a major milestone in the university’s ongoing commitment to fostering an engaging and supportive workplace for faculty and staff.

Initially launched as a virtual resource in 2024, the Employee Success Center's new physical location serves as a hub for employee support and resources, including training opportunities, leadership development, wellness programs and additional programming designed to help employees thrive.

“The opening of the Employee Success Center represents our commitment to advancing employee wellbeing through innovation and meaningful support,” said Katy Madden, vice president for People Excellence. “We are creating a more integrated experience that supports how employees develop, connect and succeed every day.”

The center brings together campus and community partnerships to provide both virtual and in-person support, ensuring employees have the resources they need at every stage of their career. The idea for the center first emerged in late 2023 as a key recommendation of the Campus Experience Task Force, which was charged with enhancing the Roadrunner experience. The task force identified the need for a centralized hub to connect employees with professional development resources and services that strengthen the overall employee experience.

The new on-campus location offers a welcoming space for employees to connect with colleagues, attend programs and engage in professional growth. It reflects UT San Antonio’s investment in building community, fostering collaboration and enhancing employee engagement across the academic campus.

Located on the Main Campus in the North Paseo Building (NPB 1.400), the Employee Success Center includes three dedicated spaces: Grand Vista Room, Paseo Hall and the Rio Room. Programs and offerings will vary throughout the year, providing ongoing opportunities for employees to participate in workshops, training sessions and events tailored to their evolving needs.

The space can also be reserved for customized training and special events, allowing departments to take advantage of the center as a flexible resource for collaboration and development. Through the Employee Success Center website, faculty and staff can explore a range of available services and upcoming events, including professional development, wellness resources, leadership training and employee benefits.
