Planned Steam Outage – Multiple Main Academic Campus Buildings [UPDATED]
UPDATE: This outage, originally scheduled to take place on June 4, has been rescheduled for 7 a.m. to noon on Friday, June 5.
As previously shared, planned natural gas testing is in progress on all academic campuses through Aug. 31.
On Friday, June 5, from 7 a.m. to noon, there will be a planned steam outage at the buildings listed below while testing is conducted at the North Thermal Energy Plant (NTEP).
During the steam outage, heat and domestic hot water will be unavailable to the impacted buildings. All domestic hot water sources will be affected, including faucets, showers, autoclaves and cage washers. Impacted building are:
- Arts Building (ART)
- Biosciences Building (BSB)
- Bosque Street Building (BOS)
- Business Building (BB)
- Convocation Center (CC)
- Engineering Building (EB)
- Flawn Sciences Building (FLN)
- Intercollegiate Athletics Building (IAB)
- John Peace Library (JPL)
- Main Building (MB)
- McKinney Humanities Building (MH)
- Multidisciplinary Studies Building (MS)
- Recreation Wellness Center (RWC)
- Student Union (SU)
